| Q: | Frequently Asked Questions Where are you located? |
| A: | Our full scope practice is located at Oakwood Centre; Suite 300, 100 Oakwood Ave., in State College, Pennsylvania. You will find us behind the Texas Roadhouse on Waddle Road. If you are coming off the 322/220 by-pass, use the Toftrees/Woodycrest exit and turn south. You will pass through the light at Colonnade Boulevard, then turn left at the next light into our parking lot. Our parking lot is shared with the Oakwood Presbyterian Church; there are parking spaces reserved for Sepich Eye Care near the entrance. Our office is fully handicap accessible. Please call our office if you require more detailed information. In addition, Dr. Sepich is also available to see in-patients at HealthSouth Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, Anthony House at Foxdale Village, and the Atrium at the Village at Penn State.

| Q: | Do I need a doctor's referral for specialty services? |
| A: | No. You may want to ask your current eye doctor if you are a candidate for Low Vision, Vision Therapy, or Ocular Disease services. You may also schedule an appointment on your own. In some cases, Dr. Sepich may ask your permission to receive previous eye health records.

| Q: | Do you provide regular eye exams in addition to your specialized services? |
| A: | Yes. We provide comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages. We rule out and address any eye health concerns or optical needs. Dr. Sepich also provides contact lens examinations. In addition to examination services we feature a full optical boutique with high quality basic and designer eyewear and lenses. For questions regarding optical services please feel free to contact our board certified optician, Nichole Derugen.

| Q: | How often to I need my eyes examined? |
| A: | Your first eye examination should be at about 6 months old, then every two years, or sooner, according to your eye doctor's individual recommendations. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, or if you are over 40 years old, you should have annual eye examinations, or sooner if advised by the doctor.

| Q: | Do you prescribe medications? |
| A: | Yes, Dr. Sepich is fully licensed to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA's) for treatment of eye disease, such as pink eye, ocular allergies, dry eyes, and glaucoma.

| Q: | Do you treat Glaucoma? |
| A: | Yes. Dr. Sepich is fully licensed and equipped to assess and manage glaucoma with diagnostic testing and prescription eye drops. Our advanced diagnostic instrumentation includes a Humphreys 745i Visual Field Analyzer with Glaucoma Progression Analysis Software. Our office also features the Zeiss Stratus OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) for scans of the optic nerve, retina and macula. If further treatment or surgery is needed, she will refer you to a glaucoma specialist for co-management. |
| Q: | Does your office participate with any vision plans? |
| A: | Yes, Dr. Sepich provides both optical and examination benefits to patients with Vision Service Plan (VSP), Vision Benefits of America
(VBA), and Avesis. If you have a vision plan we do not participate with, we will give a 10% discount on materials (frames, lenses, ect.) and help submit your claim so that you may receive reimbursement directly. |
| Q: | Does your office participate with health insurance plans? |
| A: | Yes, if you have a medical eye diagnosis your health insurance will usually provide coverage instead of a vision/eyeglass plan. We accept Medicare, Advantra Freedom,
Geisinger
Health
Plans, most Highmark Blue Shield and Capital Blue Cross plans, Health America (including Advantra), United Healthcare, and more. If we do not participate with your medical insurance, we will be happy to bill on your behalf to your insurance company. You may receive a bill for any out-of-network charges, determined by your insurance company after your claim has been processed. | Q: | Is Dr. Sepich available for public speaking? |
| A: | Yes, Dr. Sepich enjoys public speaking opportunities. Dr. Sepich has presented to preschools, elementary schools, high schools, and services clubs, as well as providing continuing education for colleagues and support staff. If your club, school, or organization is interested in a talk about eye care or one of Dr. Sepich's specialty areas, please call to arrange a speaking engagement. Tours of the office are also available on request. |
